Ms. Janet Barch is the science teacher of Daria Morgendorffer, Jane Lane and other students. She hates men, especially all of her male students and Anthony DeMartino, due to her unresolved issues with her ex-husband left her, except Timothy O'Neill who is a very sensitive male whom she is attracted to his sensitivity/spinelessness (after Mr. O'Neill let her vent her bitterness over being divorced).
